CHALLENGE
The Goldmarks’ vision was a home that would look as if
it had been imported, stone by stone, from Italy. Drawing inspiration
from visits to the Andretti Winery in Napa and to Europe, Chuck
and Marcia Goldmark, with architect Seiss Wagner, drew up a design
that offered spaciousness without being pretentious, with plenty
of character and warmth.
SOLUTION
Athey & Deterding embraced the Goldmarks’ ongoing stream
of ideas and found craftsmen to create unique solutions to fulfill
the vision.
RESULT
Featuring acid-washed stucco, stone, hand-hewn beams and pre-cast
fireplaces, this private villa captures an old-world feel without
sacrificing comfortable luxury.
